Receiving toy catalogs in the mail is a sure way to get our kids geared-up for Christmas.  Marshall and Stewart have plopped down in one spot for the longest time imaginable for a 5 and 2 year old together, and excitedly gone through each page.  They have done this very thing more than a handful of times, circling the things they want.  Today when they went through it, I suggested that Marshall write the first letter of their names next to the things they wanted.  He did it with alot of conversation about who would get what things.  Together, they even picked out things for Nigel, marking them with litte “N’s”. 

I know it’s all about materialism, but it is really, really cute to watch and even to look back through the catalog and see all their favorite things, jaggedly circled and initialed.
